As a Junior Lawyer within the Legal Department, you will support the company’s legal activities by providing practical, business-oriented legal advice across a range of matters.
You will collaborate with the existing legal team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, assist in managing legal risk, and contribute to contractual and advisory work across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Support & Risk Management
- Assist in executing the company's legal strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Support senior lawyers in identifying legal risks, and obligations across business operations.
- Contribute to ensuring corporate compliance with local and international legal frameworks.
- Contracts & Commercial Law
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, NDAs, vendor contracts, partnership agreements etc.
- Help maintain contract templates and support efforts to streamline contracting processes.
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Monitor and summarize regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, IP, data privacy, export controls).
- Support interaction with company registrars, regulators, and corporate service providers across different jurisdictions.
- Intellectual Property & Claims
- Assist in preparing and monitoring intellectual property reports and claims on behalf of the company.
- Support the protection of the company's intellectual property by helping implement appropriate measures and assisting with enforcement actions.
- Complaints & Dispute Resolution
- Assist is handling complaints and pre-litigation processes under guidance from senior lawyers.
- Support litigation processes and internal investigations.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Contribute to due diligence and strategic decision-making under the guidance of senior lawyers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited university and bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
- 2–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a mix of private practice and in-house exposure.
- Basic knowledge of commercial law, contract negotiation, corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
